The POWER-DRIVER is a voltage-boosted fuel injector driver that installs between your engine's computer and low impedance fuel injectors. It converts the computer's injection pulses to peak-hold format and with outstanding fidelity. The POWER-DRIVER outperforms other peak-hold fuel injector driver modules! While other modules use 12 Volts (supplied by the battery) to drive the injectors to 4 Amperes, ours are voltage-boosted and deliver 30V, for significantly faster fuel injector response time. This translates to better idling and cruise with big injectors. See the figures below. Will 30 Volts harm my injectors? Absolutely not! Most injectors can withstand greater than 60 Volts without failing. What's more, 30 Volts is applied only for about 800 us (the time required to reach 4 Amperes). The POWER-DRIVER uses Active Energy Recovery. In other modules, the unused inductive energy (flyback) is burned off in the form of heat. Our system returns the unused energy to the power supply. Because of its energy efficient design, there are no heat-sinks or fins on the POWER-DRIVER. We believe that electronic systems should run cool for a long and trouble-free life.
